Our purpose at Salem United Methodist Preschool is to provide a caring, positive Christian environment that supports the emotional, social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth of each preschool child. We seek to help every child understand and experience that they are loved by God.

We are committed to nurturing each child’s natural curiosity while helping them develop creativity, independence, and strong problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout life. We also strive to build a healthy, positive self-image in every child as they learn and grow.

Salem United Methodist Preschool works in partnership with Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) to ensure that we are introducing developmentally appropriate concepts that support school readiness and align with local educational expectations.

We strongly encourage family involvement in all aspects of a child’s early education, recognizing that children thrive when parents and teachers work together as partners in learning.
