Our school year runs from September through May.
Tuition is based on the preschool’s academic calendar. The first day of school is the Wednesday following Labor Day, and the last day of school is the Thursday before Memorial Day.
Annual tuition is divided into nine equal monthly payments for the convenience of our families. Tuition remains the same each month regardless of holidays, school closures, inclement weather, vacations, or student absences due to illness, travel, appointments, or other personal reasons.
Salem United Methodist Preschool generally follows the Virginia Beach City Public Schools calendar for holidays and weather-related closures.
Tuition Payments
Monthly tuition payments are due on the 15th of the month preceding attendance. For example, September tuition is due on August 15.
We currently accept the following forms of payment:
- Zelle
- Check
- Money Order
- Cash
Checks should be made payable to SUMP or Salem United Methodist Preschool.
Late Fees and Returned Payments
A $35 late fee will automatically be assessed for payments received after the 20th of the month.
A $35 returned payment fee will be charged for any returned checks or declined payments.
The Salem United Methodist Preschool Board reserves the right to assess additional fees or penalties when necessary.
